The Role
Were seeking a proactive and technically astute Project Engineer to join our dynamic Engineering Department. Youll play a pivotal role in managing complex engineering projects from concept through to production, acting as the technical bridge between customers, internal teams, and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate customer requirements into robust technical specifications
- Drive DFMA (Design for Manufacture and Assembly) across all project stages
- Create and manage detailed project plans, ensuring delivery on time and within budget
- Develop and execute comprehensive Verification & Validation (V&V) plans
- Scope and define design concepts that meet technical and commercial goals
- Coordinate cross-functional resources to deliver detailed design outputs
- Lead DFMEA creation and maintenance
- Track and document progress against technical requirements
- Present project updates at gate reviews and key milestones
- Provide feedback to support continuous improvement initiatives
- Undertake additional duties aligned with the scope of the role
What Youll Bring
- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Automotive, or related discipline)
- Proven experience in project engineering within a manufacturing or automotive environment
- Strong understanding of DFMA, DFMEA, and V&V methodologies
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in engineering tools and project management software
- A collaborative mindset with a drive for innovation and quality
