Wood is recruiting for Project Engineers to support the delivery of engineering capital projects based at our client site in Ware, England.


This is a site-based position, open to both permanent staff and contractors (outside IR35), working at the client's operating facility.

Responsibilities


The Role


Our Project Engineers work closely with the client to deliver capital projects from concept through to completion. This role involves collaboration with a multi-disciplinary engineering team, including Wood and client engineers, external designers, equipment vendors, and skilled contractors.

The role requires flexibility in your daily activities.

Expected Qualifications

  • A degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Application of Wood and client health and safety standards in the working environment and during design.
  • Ability to maintain safe practices throughout all project stages, focusing on safety assessment and mitigation through design.
  • Experience working in or leading multi-disciplinary teams, delivering work packages aligned with quality and environmental management systems, preferably ISO standards.
  • Capability to manage work scope and interfaces between engineering disciplines to ensure successful delivery.
  • Experience reviewing vendor documents and identifying issues.
  • Proven experience managing change effectively.
  • Active management of plant changes in a controlled and safe manner.
  • Understanding of GxP and ALCOA principles.
  • Monitoring and reviewing engineering progress with project teams.
  • Ability to serve as a focal point for projects, managing issues requiring expediting or resolution.
  • Experience organizing, attending, and preparing project reports.
