The Role

The Project Engineer will lead engineering projects along with providing technical support services to all relevant stakeholders in the organisation, this will include but not limited to the client support, sales and operations teams.

The Project Engineer will also need to understand market & technology as well as that of our competitors.

This role will contribute to the Energy Division business development and NPD initiatives, strengthen our market position and help drive revenue growth through innovative solutions.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to operations team.
  • Lead and coordinate engineering projects.
  • Engineering design & development from initial concepts.
  • Work in disciplines such as hydraulics, air compression, steam generation, fluid dynamics, sheet metal, piping, structure, lifting, electrical, instrumentation, access techniques and mechanical engineering.
  • Conduct risk analyses for equipment, including ATEX risk assessments.
  • Attend update meetings.
  • Generate designs and drawings for new parts and equipment using SolidWorks software.
  • Carry out surveys of existing equipment as required for new upgrades or changes to the original design.
  • Generate and update schematic P&ID drawings for existing and new build equipment using AutoCAD software.
  • Generate technical reports for various systems as well as heat radiation studies.
  • Assist with technical manuals for various systems including maintenance, operation, fault finding, parts identification.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Ability to design unique engineering solutions.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at various levels.
  • Understanding of regulations & compliance. Knowledge of Industry-, National-, European- and international standards, like:
  • Mobile Offshore equipment, e.g. NORSOK Z-015, DNVGL ST E272
  • Offshore containers, e.g. DNVGL ST E271
  • International standards, e.g. BSEN, IEC, ISO
  • Pressure Vessels & Boilers, e.g. PED, PD5500, AMSE VIII
  • Pipework, e.g. ASME B31.3
  • Technical understanding for new technological developments.
  • Ex - ATEX mechanical or electrical understanding.
  • HNC in Engineering, working towards HND in a relevant engineering discipline or extensive engineering experience.
  • Offshore operational experience with product & services knowledge advantageous.
  • CAD skills using both AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Proficient in working with software such as Microsoft office, CRM system, PowerPoint presentations.

  • This role is to be based out of our Great Yarmouth, Norfolk location therefore, you will need to live within a commutable distance to this location.
