Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a Project Engineer in Stevenage to lead aircraft modification projects, ensuring compliance with technical and regulatory objectives. The ideal candidate will have a relevant engineering degree and experience managing projects. Proficiency in CAD software and mechanical/electrical engineering knowledge are essential. This is a permanent position with a salary range of GBP40,000 to GBP50,000 per annum, depending on experience.

JOB- Project Engineer (Aerospace)
LOCATION - Stevenage

TERM- Permanent
SALARY- GBP40,000 to GBP50,000 per annum DOE

As a Project Engineer In this role, you'll lead the delivery of aircraft modification and certification projects, ensuring technical, regulatory, and schedule objectives are met. You'll work closely with design, airworthiness, and production teams to bring innovative and compliant solutions to life.
The Project Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

  • A relevant Engineering degree, ideally with associated Aerospace experience
  • Experience with Solidworks (or similar) CAD package
  • Experience in managing and delivery of projects
  • A good appreciation of mechanical and electrical/electronic engineering
  • An ability to work alone and as part of a team
  • Ability to produce technical drawings to a good standard, it is expected that the candidate will have the experience of dealing with customers face to face.

The Project Engineer role will involve:

  • Engineering degree (aerospace, mechanical, electrical, etc.).
  • Experience managing aircraft design or modification projects.
  • Familiarity with EASA/CAA regulations and DOA environments.
  • Experience preparing engineering documentation, schedules, and technical reports.
  • Able to coordinate multidisciplinary teams (design, stress, airworthiness).
  • Experience with tools like AutoCAD, or similar
