Job description

MCS Group is delighted to be working with an innovative engineering company operating in the water and energy sectors to recruit a Project Engineer.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and forward-thinking team delivering bespoke systems and equipment. You'll be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle-from planning and procurement through to site coordination and client handover.

Excellent opportunity for someone with 1+ years experience in a technical role, to get involved in running projects, travelling to UK and Ireland and have a client facing role whilst still involved with the Engineering team in NI.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets.
• Source and procure materials in line with specifications and cost targets.
• Coordinate subcontractors and ensure technical documentation is up to date.
• Conduct quality checks and FAT testing before site delivery.
• Manage site preparation, logistics, and commissioning activities.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and solutions.
• Support contract administration and financial reporting.
• Oversee on-site health, safety, environmental, and quality compliance in conjunction with the SHEQ Manager.

What You'll Need:

• Engineering qualification (Degree or HNC/HND).
• Project delivery experience in utilities, energy, or process engineering.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Knowledge of project planning, procurement, and contract management.
