Job Opportunity: Project Engineer

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer to join a well-known Tier 1 contractor working on a large water infrastructure programme across the Anglian Region.

The company operates nationwide throughout the UK and has multiple regional offices. As a Project Engineer, you will enable projects to be delivered on time, within budget, and according to client, regulatory, and stakeholder requirements. The works are part of a large water framework.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support the Delivery/Operational Manager in the delivery of MEICA projects.
  2. Work efficiently during periods of high workload.
  3. Assist in capturing asset changes in relevant corporate systems.
  4. Raise Early Warning Notices and change requests when project delays or cost increases occur, informing the Programme Manager.
  5. Calculate risk indices to ensure data and processes are robust and auditable.
  6. Challenge data, assess needs, and analyze risks to establish clear cost and risk-benefit propositions.
  7. Complete all operational Health and Safety requirements to ensure safe working practices.
  8. Ensure personal H&S and MTRA documentation are completed and valid, and record any near misses.
Experience Required:
  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Water industry experience preferred.
  • Appropriate engineering qualification.
  • Understanding of health and safety legislation.
  • Strong customer and stakeholder management skills.
  • Effective negotiation skills.
