Key duties include interpreting technical requirements, contributing to project specifications, selecting and procuring materials, designing system layouts and drawings (not drafting), and overseeing the assembly, configuration, testing, and deployment of control systems. The role involves active participation in system testing, client liaison, and onsite installation activities.
The Project Engineer is expected to develop proficiency with proprietary control software platforms and may be tasked with programming and configuring third-party industrial control hardware such as PLCs, DCS systems, and HMIs. Domestic and international travel may be required for system start-up, commissioning, and ongoing support.
Effective communication with clients and internal teams is essential, along with a sound understanding of electrical and control system principles. Responsibilities also include preparing project documentation, troubleshooting control systems, and ensuring project deliverables meet quality standards within scheduled timelines
