Dunbia UK is an industry leader in food manufacturing, offering an excellent opportunity at the Carnaby site.

This new position will join the current engineering team to lead and drive customer and site projects. The Project Engineer will be responsible for providing solutions to projects using advanced expertise to deliver engineering strategies and minimize commercial risks.

Reporting directly to the site Engineering Manager, the Project Engineer will oversee projects from planning through implementation to completion, focusing on site systems, equipment, and machinery. The goal is to ensure projects are executed smoothly and effectively, meeting departmental targets within deadlines, without compromising quality or cost control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and plan projects from inception to acceptance, ensuring delivery on time with quality focus.
  • Utilize internal and external resources effectively to deliver projects accurately.
  • Develop strong working relationships to improve project execution and foster repeat business.
  • Drive continuous improvement through feedback.
  • Plan scheduled work and respond to unforeseen activities to meet engineering requirements.
  • Monitor project progress and implement remedial actions as needed.
  • Work within quality, industry standards, and health & safety regulations, adhering to company policies.
  • Identify and manage project risks.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Provide progress reports and performance analysis to management.
  • Work hands-on alongside the engineering team.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Technical engineering background, preferably in a factory environment.
  • Electrical qualification (desirable).
  • CAD qualification or experience (desirable).
  • Strong problem-solving and risk management skills.
  • Effective planning and deadline management abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Financial planning and budgeting experience.
