About The Role
The Project Engineer is responsible for assisting the Project Managers in managing the project execution process throughout the project lifecycle, in line with departmental delivery processes and procedures. They support the business to meet or exceed project delivery targets and maintain client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct project engineering activities as directed by the Project Manager.
- Ensure all Risks, Actions, Issues, and Decisions are recorded in the project RAID log and support the expediting of action close-outs.
- Assist with project setup activities during the Initiate and Plan phase, including establishing the project filing system and loading commercial information into the Enterprise Resourcing Planning (ERP) system.
- Review contractual and commercial requirements within the client contract or purchase order, flagging and managing any discrepancies identified from the tender and sales handover process.
- After successful completion of the Initiate and Plan gate review, submit the order acknowledgment to the client.
- Issue and receive documentation as specified in the contractual Document Requirement List through a formal document control system.
- Support the Project Manager in delivering project kick-off meetings.
- Collect internal and supplier manufacturing records and submit them to the client.
- Plan post ex-works activities such as storage, installation, and commissioning in accordance with client requirements.
- Generate client invoices, collate supporting evidence, and facilitate invoice submission by the finance department.
- Submit all client variations, collate supporting evidence, and manage related documentation.
- Arrange and deliver project update meetings with the client as needed.
- Produce and distribute project update reports as required.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in project management, engineering, or a related field.
- Formal Project Management Qualification.

- Strong technical background and experience.
- Project engineering experience in electrical and/or mechanical environments.
- Experience working within the manufacturing industry.
