About the Opportunity We are looking for a practical, solutions-driven Project Engineer to strengthen our client's team in Burnley. You will play a pivotal role in delivering manufacturing and process improvement projects within a business that values innovation, operational excellence, and quality. This role is well-suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to make a tangible impact.

Key Duties

  • Manage and execute engineering projects from initial concept through to full-scale implementation.

  • Enhance and refine production processes, particularly within polyurethane systems.

  • Identify and drive initiatives that improve process efficiency, safety, and product quality.

  • Work collaboratively with R&D, Quality, and Production teams to support project goals.

  • Provide hands-on technical troubleshooting and shop floor support as needed.

  • Champion cost-saving measures through lean principles and Six Sigma practices.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, project updates, and validation protocols.

About You
  • Degree qualified in Mechanical, Chemical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or similar).

  • Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment in a practical, hands-on capacity.

  • Skilled in developing and refining processes to drive continuous improvement.

  • Background working with polyurethane materials or systems is a significant advantage.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive, can-do attitude.

  • Confident communicator with effective project management skills.
