Job summary

AES is recruiting a Project Engineer in Bromsgrove to lead multiple vehicle projects from concept to delivery, including new builds, conversions, and improvements. You will manage certification and risk assessments for engineering changes, ensuring milestones and safety standards are met.

Ideal candidates hold an HNC/degree in mechanical engineering, with experience in project management and strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Qualifications

• Evidence of a project management background or related experience.
• Strong communication, written and oral, with ability to work in a team.
• Mechanical engineering qualification (HNC or degree) required.

The Company: Our Client, who pride themselves on Excellence operate the largest privately-owned fleet of freight wagons in Europe.

The Role: Due to sustained continued expansion, they now require a Project Engineer whose primary responsibilities will be to manage various projects to deliver new, converted, innovative and improved vehicles. And to manage certification and risk assessments for Engineering change.

The Person: Candidates suitable for consideration should be able to provide evidence of the following:

• HNC / Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar).
• Experience in a related environment, ideally in Transportation / Rail Industry desired but not essential
• Knowledge / experience within Project Management

You will be self-motivated, have excellent communication skills both written and oral, be computer literate, and able to work as part of a team.
