Join a leading company as a Project Engineer, responsible for managing diverse capital maintenance projects in the water industry. Your role involves project delivery, compliance with regulations, and collaboration with contractors. Ideal candidates will have a background in construction or water management and hold a technical qualification.
Would you enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary project delivery scheme team? If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join our small schemes team based in our North division as a Project Engineer.
As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for both reactive and planned capital maintenance projects across a diverse range of sites, including water recycling, water production, sewerage, and water distribution.
The value of projects varies between £15,000 and £500,000. You will be based in the north area covering Mendip, Wiltshire, South Gloucestershire, and Bristol.
Projects can include pumping station upgrades, the design and installation of inlet screen replacements, emergency wastewater treatment side streams, and clean water treatment process upgrades, while also covering a large range of sites including Bio-Resource sites.
Your role will involve:
Ideally, you will be from a construction and/or water industry background with experience in project management and working closely with external contractors.
It is essential that you have a safety-first approach and good negotiation and influencing skills.
In addition, you will need to:
Mechanical or Electrical experience would be beneficial but not essential.
