Qualifications

  • Strong background in Mechanical & Electrical equipment installation projects.
  • Proactive, organized, and commercially focused with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver medium to large projects safely and within budget.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve project objectives and value.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and track project budgets.

Skills

Project management experience in manufacturing
Knowledge of CDM regulations
Understanding of electrical & mechanical systems/services
Excellent planning and risk mitigation skills
Commercial and contractual awareness
Understanding of building and facilities infrastructure
Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Education

Electrical or mechanical HNC/HND or equivalent
IOSH or NEBOSH certification

At our GKN Filton site, we specialize in designing and manufacturing large, complex structural wing assemblies, detailed metallic components, and wing systems for civil and military aircraft. We have an exciting, career-defining opportunity for a Facilities Engineer.

The successful candidate will manage and deliver projects related to new building facilities, services, and equipment at our Filton & Western Approach Sites in Bristol. You should have a strong background in Mechanical & Electrical equipment installation projects, with a good understanding of civil works.

How You'll Contribute
  • Manage and deliver medium to large projects safely and within budget
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve project objectives and value
  • Prepare estimates and quotations
  • Manage tender analysis and contractor relationships
  • Ensure regulatory compliance (RAMS, PTW, etc.)
  • Track and manage project budgets
  • Oversee project specifications, tendering, contractor control, and acceptance
  • Maintain proactive stakeholder communication
  • Compile final project documentation and 'As Built' drawings
  • Ensure projects adhere to company policies and procedures

  • Project management experience in manufacturing
  • Knowledge of CDM regulations
  • Understanding of electrical & mechanical systems/services
  • Excellent planning and risk mitigation skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Desirable

  • Electrical or mechanical HNC/HND or equivalent
  • IOSH or NEBOSH certification
