Job summary

Perrigo is seeking a Project Engineer to lead capital projects from concept to handover, ensuring scope, budget, schedule, quality and safety compliance. The role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, reporting progress to key stakeholders and driving project delivery.

You will support validation protocols, write technical reports, and contribute to continuous improvement within Global Engineering in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Mechanical; Electrical; Process; Building Services)
• Experience managing engineering projects is required
• Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing environment preferred
• Recognised project management certification preferred
• Experience with industrial building services preferred
• Experience working in a cGMP environment preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite incl. MS Project

• Act as the accountable owner for assigned capital projects from concept through commissioning and handover.

• Support the Validation Department in equipment and process validation protocols.

Description Overview

The Project Engineer is responsible for leading and owning capital projects from concept through to handover, ensuring delivery to agreed scope, budget, schedule, quality and safety compliance requirements while coordinating multifunctional teams and stakeholders.

Scope of the Role

• Independently lead capital projects from planning through execution to handover, managing project scope, plan, budget and resource. This will involve leading multifunctional teams made up of internal and external subject matter experts.
• Communicate project progress, risks and opportunities to key stakeholders across the business, including local and central corporate functions, providing proposed recommendations and solutions.
• Act as the accountable owner for assigned capital projects, driving delivery from concept through commissioning and handover, ensuring achievement of scope, cost, timeline, quality and safety compliance objectives.
• Maintain project budget trackers and forecast future spend, working with the Finance Department to report the results to Global Engineering.
• Manage processing of orders relating to capital projects.
• Support the Validation Department in the preparation and execution of equipment and process validation protocols.
• Write technical reports on a wide range of subjects to support quality or operational decisions related to site services.
• Support completion of Quality Event / CAPA investigations and generation of corrective actions relating to Facilities Engineering equipment.
• Assist with troubleshooting operational and design issues relating to delivered capital projects.
• Demonstrate Perrigo's Core Behaviours by pursuing continuous personal growth and development, collaborating to win, communicating with impact, employing critical thinking, innovating and improving processes within capital projects, and taking ownership of projects in order to make it happen.
• Undertake such other reasonable duties as may be required from time to time to support the Perrigo business.

Experience Required

• Degree in a relevant engineering discipline required - Mechanical; Electrical; Process; Building Services
• Experience managing engineering projects required
• Experience working in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment preferred
• Recognised project management certification preferred
• Experience with industrial building services preferred
• Experience working in a cGMP environment preferred
• Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of programmes including MS Project.
