A leading engineering consultancy in Ashton-under-Lyne is seeking a project engineer to manage turnkey powder handling and fluid processing projects. The ideal candidate will have a degree in engineering and at least 3 years of project engineering experience, preferably in related industries such as automation and oil & gas. This role requires collaboration with clients and teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications

Overview

Role: Working within the Projects team to deliver turnkey powder handling, fluid and processing solutions. This role is focused on delivering projects (Project Management) but with a bias on the engineering elements in order to provide a more holistic delivery.

Work closely with the client, suppliers, and the Engineering & Production teams to deliver a solution incorporating the optimum materials handling equipment and systems (standard and bespoke).

Responsibilities
  • Deliver turnkey powder handling, fluid and processing projects as part of the Projects team.
  • Lead and manage projects with a balance of project management and engineering input to ensure holistic delivery.
  • Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and Engineering & Production teams to specify and deliver optimal materials handling equipment and systems (standard and bespoke).
Qualifications
  • Degree qualified in an engineering discipline, including Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics.
  • Ideally 3 years project engineering experience in similar or related industries, utilising similar technologies and project scope, including Automation, Automotive Oil & Gas.
  • Experience of process / systems within the food industry desirable but not essential.
  • Familiar with manufacturing environments and regulations including the Machinery Directive, ISO9001, ATEX and British Standards for equipment design.
