We’re seeking a technically strong Project Engineer to support the delivery of S278 and S50 highway works, and other ongoing groundworks projects throughout Kent and East Anglia. The ideal candidate will be proactive on-site, experienced in managing direct labour and subcontractors, and confident liaising with local authorities in active highway environments.

The role includes delivering key elements of streetworks schemes such as road tie-ins, footpaths, kerbing, utilities, and drainage. You’ll be responsible for setting out using GPS rover, and must be confident working accurately from technical drawings and site plans.

Start date negotiable, with ongoing projects available.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with on-site management to ensure project success
  • Ensure project plan is moving forward to meet anticipated deadlines
  • Responsible for RFI and submittal process
  • Conduct setting out for works, to include; kerbs; footpaths; gullies; duct runs; utility crossings as required - with GPS rover/total station

Key Requirements

  • NRSWA Supervisor (essential) - we can assist the right candidate with this qualification
  • Proficient with CAD
  • Competent with GPS rover and setting out
  • Able to manage permits, traffic management, and inspections
  • Clean UK driving licence

Qualifications

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience

  • Strong experience in AutoCad
  • Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards
