Job summary

A leading engineering company in Wales is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support industrialisation projects, including creation and development of SA Jigs and Tools. The role requires strong technical skills in manufacturing and aircraft production, with a contract running until November 2026. Competitive hourly rates available, with both PAYE and Umbrella options under INSIDE IR35.

Overview

Carbon60 is seeking a talented and experienced Project Engineer to join their client based in Broughton. As a Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the successful industrialisation of SA Jigs and Tools Requests and supporting Projects, from creation and development to final acceptance and handover.

This position is a contract role running up to November 2026. Due to being a contract role we have both PAYE and Umbrella hourly rates available - INSIDE IR35.

£27.75 per hour PAYE
£37.12 per hour Umbrella

Responsibilities

• Interpret aircraft design models and relay the information to the operations and operational support teams.
• Define the certification, re-certification, qualification, and re-qualification process, features, and schedule.
• Integrate industrial technologies in line with R&D.
• Collaborate with R&D to integrate requirements and consolidate the company's Industrial Vision.
• Design and/or specify the requested Jigs and Tools assets according to requirements.
• Contribute to CDT MFT for production investigations, utilising your tooling and metrology skill set.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Ability to operate from first principles in manufacturing disciplines and activities, requiring technical skills and knowledge to make daily business decisions.
• Working knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering, Design, and other Business Information Systems.
• Experienced knowledge of aircraft production, engineering methods, and procedures.
• Understanding of the relationships and interactions with other Manufacturing Engineering and Business functions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Experience in a manufacturing and engineering environment.
