Project Director / Manager (Civil)

Salary: £160k all-in (£120k, Car, Bonus, Pension, Healthcare - Family)

Overview: Our client, a Tier 1 civil engineering contractor, is a partner in a framework to build-out grid infrastructure through long-term collaborative delivery. We are now hiring a Project Manager/Director to lead the delivery of high-voltage infrastructure and transmission projects. The role is based in the Midlands & East and involves managing large-scale civil and electrical works over several years.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee safe, timely, and budget-aligned project delivery.
2. Lead and develop multidisciplinary project teams.
3. Manage mobilisation, planning, cost/resource forecasting, and subcontractor procurement.
4. Maintain strong stakeholder and client relationships.
5. Ensure compliance with quality, commercial, and HSE standards.
6. Drive innovation and continuous improvement across the project lifecycle.

Candidate Profile:

1. Senior leadership experience on major civil engineering projects; previous HV transmission experience is an advantage.
2. Background in delivering linear cabling infrastructure.
3. Third-level or trade qualification coupled with ten plus years of experience in a similar role.
4. Commercially and contractually astute.
