The Role

Due to the high-profile healthcare projects they are currently undertaking, they are seeking a Project Director to join their Project Management team in Leeds. The role involves leading a team of PMs, working with key healthcare clients, managing existing accounts, and developing new relationships.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate project activities, ensuring effective communication and governance adherence.
• Understand, anticipate, and deliver excellent outcomes for clients through your team.
• Drive exceptional delivery, health & safety, commercial, risk management, and quality throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop a team of Project Management professionals with a strong pipeline of healthcare projects.
• Lead the team and grow the business unit by attracting talent and delivering quality work. Contribute to bids and help win new clients.

Key Accountabilities

• Establish success criteria for projects, including time, cost, technical, and performance parameters.
• Implement effective project governance, processes, and systems.
• Oversee project planning and resource procurement.
• Lead and facilitate the project team.
• Monitor performance and manage change control.
• Manage project finances and client communications.
• Prepare progress reports and interface with clients and consultants.

Business Development

• Identify opportunities to develop new business with existing and new clients.
• Assist in bid documentation.
• Manage project finances, including client invoicing and financial monitoring.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in healthcare construction or consultancy, demonstrating a proactive approach and commitment to customer service excellence and strong commercial results.

Desired experience includes:

• A construction-related degree or equivalent qualification with extensive healthcare facilities delivery experience.
• Well-organized, diligent, proactive, assertive, and commercially savvy.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
• Construction experience and the right to work in the UK.
