Job Description

Turner Lovell has been appointed by a global Energy Engineering Services business to source a Project Director to join the senior leadership team and manage the grid and data centre business unit within the UK and wider EMEA region. The role oversees a team of Project Managers and Engineers to ensure successful project delivery and develops the Grid and Data Centre business across the region.

This role will have responsibilities across several key areas:

  1. Ownership of new business and earned financial budgets for the regional Grid and Data Centre business.
  2. Work with business development to win new work from new and existing clients.
  3. Manage engineering design, owners engineer projects involving multiple clients or partners or medium EPC projects.
  4. Manage multiple clients and/or projects where the project team, client structure and/or project location present greater challenges.

To be considered for this role you should have a Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline. It would be beneficial to have some of the following:

  1. Project Management Qualification.
  2. Depth and breadth of experience in Grid, Substation and/or Data Centre projects.
  3. Project Director/Management experience with an Engineering and Construction industry background.
  4. Mid scale EPC/EPCM project experience, predominantly on the contractor side vs client.
  5. Proven leadership experience, including management of client relationships at senior levels.
  6. Track record in actively supporting business development activity.
