Role Description

Play a key role delivering tech sector mega-projects.

We are looking for an experienced Project Director to join our rapidly growing team. You will play a key role leading the delivery of one of our biggest data centre construction projects in the Nordics.

The successful candidate will be based either 100% in country, or there will be significant international travel to the Nordics (11/3 rotation)

Role Accountabilities

Youll be responsible for managing all stages of hyperscale data centre construction projects, taking projects through pre-construction, construction, and close out/fit-up.

Day-to-day This Includes But Is Not Limited To

Pre-construction

  • Working with the client and general contractor to create and establish the Master Project Schedule and Master Project Budget
  • Supporting Contractor pre-qualification, bid solicitation, bid analysis and recommendations
  • Supporting contract negotiations
  • Assisting the client and the Clients team in identifying, scoping, buying-out and scheduling of all Owner-direct vendors and consultants

Construction

  • Managing the General Contractor and other directly contracted vendors on the ground
  • Coordinating Value Engineering efforts during the construction phase
  • Working with the Clients commercial and PCG team to develop Budget Management and Tracking
  • Liaising with the Clients schedule management team to provide Schedule monitoring, tracking and analysis

Close out/Fit up

  • Initiating close out process prior to project completion, typically two to three months in advance
  • Establishing close out documentation requirements with the Clients document controller. Collect and track receipt of all close out documents until completion, including warranties, as-builts, O&M manuals, etc.
  • Assisting with City and/or other Authority final inspections and occupancy process.
  • Assisting the Client in scheduling, coordination and management of all Owner-direct vendors, consultants.

  • Ability to manage technical disciplines.
  • Experience working on Data Centre new build and refurbishment projects, preferably on hyperscale builds, would be advantageous
  • Ability to coordinate the work of other discipline specific Owners Representatives to achieve the objectives set by the client
  • Ability to commit to significant international travel
