Role description: Play a key role in delivering tech sector mega-projects.

We are looking for an experienced Project Director to join our rapidly growing team. You will lead the delivery of one of our biggest data centre construction projects in the Nordics.

The successful candidate will be based either 100% in country, or there will be significant international travel to the Nordics (11/3 rotation)

Role accountabilities: You’ll be responsible for managing all stages of hyperscale data centre construction projects, from pre-construction to close-out/fit-up.

Day-to-day responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Pre-construction:

  • Working with the client and general contractor to create and establish the Master Project Schedule and Master Project Budget.
  • Supporting contractor pre-qualification, bid solicitation, bid analysis, and recommendations.
  • Supporting contract negotiations.
  • Assisting the client and the client’s team in identifying, scoping, buying-out, and scheduling all owner-direct vendors and consultants.

Construction:

  • Managing the general contractor and other directly contracted vendors on-site.
  • Coordinating value engineering efforts during construction.
  • Working with the client’s commercial and project control group to develop budget management and tracking.
  • liaising with the schedule management team to monitor, track, and analyze schedules.

Close-out/Fit-up:

  • Initiating the close-out process typically 2-3 months before project completion.
  • Establishing close-out documentation requirements with the client’s document controller, including warranties, as-builts, O&M manuals, etc.
  • Assisting with final inspections and occupancy processes.
  • Managing all owner-direct vendors and consultants during close-out.

  • Experience with data centre new builds and refurbishments, preferably hyperscale.
  • Ability to coordinate work of other owner’s representatives to meet client objectives.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.
