Project Director

About the Role:

We are excited to present an outstanding opportunity for a Project Director to join a national Construction business. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional based in or around the Aberdeen area, with the flexibility to travel across multiple sites and projects within the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Clients to define and scope the required outcomes of identified and potential Hub projects
  • Identify and secure appropriate and affordable funding solutions
  • Translate local and national policies into business cases and development plans, including place, net zero, inclusive economic growth, digital, and other emerging policies
  • Coordinate feasibility studies and establish project teams as needed
  • Assess and mitigate key risks associated with proposed developments
  • Support and promote the implementation of the North Infrastructure Commission
  • Lead project teams to ensure successful delivery from initial inception through to on-site completion
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with a range of stakeholders

Candidate Profile:

  • Understanding of public sector processes and the ability to align Hub activities with these requirements
  • Ability to manage innovation within a highly regulated environment
  • Experience in preparing business cases and project bidding
  • Organised, structured, and professional, with a passion for excellence
  • Flexible, resilient, and capable of influencing and building relationships with key stakeholders
  • Commitment to excellent customer service, with a passionate and enthusiastic approach
  • Self-starter with a can-do attitude and a willingness to take on new challenges
