Job summary

Londinium Recruitment is sourcing an experienced Project Director for a leading residential contractor delivering super prime schemes across London and the South East. You will take overall responsibility for successful delivery from pre-construction through to handover, leading the delivery team and acting as the main client contact.

The role requires a track record of high-end residential projects, strong leadership, and excellent client/stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Significant experience delivering high end or super prime residential projects
• Experience operating at Project Director level or senior PM ready to lead
• Strong background with reputable residential contractor or high end specialist
• Excellent knowledge of high end finishes, detailing and quality control
• Strong commercial and contractual awareness
• Excellent client facing and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to lead, motivate and get the best from project teams
• Calm, solutions focused approach with ownership and decisive decision making
• Strong track record of delivering projects from inception through to completion

Responsibilities

• Taking overall responsibility for the successful delivery of a major super prime residential project
• Leading the project from pre construction and mobilisation through to completion and handover
• Managing and providing direction to the wider project and site management team
• Acting as a senior point of contact for the client, consultants and key stakeholders
• Driving programme, quality, health & safety and commercial performance
• Working closely with the commercial team to manage budgets, procurement and project risk
• Maintaining the exceptional standards of quality and finish expected within the super prime market
• Managing specialist subcontractors and maintaining strong relationships across the supply chain
• Identifying and resolving project challenges before they impact programme or delivery
• Providing clear reporting and project updates to the senior leadership team
• Ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required standard

Our client is a highly regarded residential contractor with a strong pipeline of prestigious schemes across London and the South East. Working on behalf of UHNW private clients, the business specialises in exceptional one off residences, including luxury town houses, mansions and private estates. Their portfolio includes projects across some of London's most sought after locations. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of projects, they are looking to appoint an experienced Project Director to take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of a major high end residential schemes. This is a senior appointment within the business and would suit someone who is comfortable taking full ownership of a project, leading the delivery team and acting as a key point of contact for the client and wider professional team.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Construction Director, responsibilities will include:

• Taking overall responsibility for the successful delivery of a major super prime residential project
• Leading the project from pre construction and mobilisation through to completion and handover

The Individual

• Significant experience delivering high end or super prime residential projects
• Previous experience operating at Project Director level, or as a senior Project Manager ready to step into a wider leadership role
• A strong background with a reputable residential contractor or specialist high end contractor
• Experience taking overall responsibility for complex, high value projects
• Excellent knowledge of high end finishes, detailing and quality control
• Strong commercial and contractual awareness
• Excellent client facing and stakeholder management skills
• The ability to lead, motivate and get the best from project teams
• A calm, solutions focused approach with the ability to take ownership and make decisions
• A strong track record of delivering projects from inception through to completion
