The Green Recruitment Company has been exclusively engaged by a UK leading developer, owner, and operator of bioenergy assets in the UK to support their continued growth across the country.
The company’s portfolio includes ongoing projects and a pipeline to develop and construct 15 additional plants, with 6 currently under construction, each valued at approximately £25 million.
The team comprises highly experienced renewable energy and bioenergy professionals. We are seeking an astute and experienced Development Manager to support project growth.
This role requires:
- Experience in renewables and/or infrastructure project development
- Negotiation and land acquisition skills
- Knowledge of policy and processes at local and national levels across the UK (Scotland and England), including engagement with landowners, communities, case officers, politicians, and consultants (planning, studies, engineering)
Responsibilities include:
- Negotiating and managing relationships for land acquisition
- Engaging with all stakeholders in the planning process, from community groups to landowners, consultants, and case officers
- Leading projects from inception to planning approval
- Collaborating with development teams, engineers, consultants, and multidisciplinary colleagues
- Managing project reporting and documentation
- Approaching challenges with innovative solutions
- Demonstrating a strong track record in renewable energy project development, with bioenergy experience highly desirable
- Exposing project lifecycle experience in previous roles
- Being proactive in overcoming development challenges
- Having a keen interest in renewable energy and sustainability
- Being a team player capable of working independently when needed
- Willingness to work in-office with some national travel as required
