A national energy provider is seeking a Project Development Manager to lead complex projects in the UK. You will manage pre-construction activities for overhead lines and ensure safety and compliance. The ideal candidate has a solid engineering background, experience in team leadership, and strong project management skills. This role offers a salary of £72,000 to £80,000 plus benefits and a hybrid working model.

We’re looking for Project Development Managers to drive the development of our overhead lines (OHL) portfolio and make a real impact from day one. Flexible on based location in England/Wales with hybrid working.
In this pivotal position, you’ll be at the forefront of pre-construction development for major capital works on OHL, substations, and cables including contracts for tower painting and vegetation management. You’ll join a dynamic, diverse team that values collaboration, innovation, and delivering excellence.
As our centre of excellence for early-stage project development, you will lead a skilled team of development engineers managing all pre-construction activity. You’ll develop project scopes, oversee surveys, materials planning, and the tendering of contracts alongside EPC Project Managers. You’ll ensure quality plans, financial approvals, and governance are in place to transition projects seamlessly into delivery. Throughout every stage, you’ll champion safety and compliance to the highest standards.
Desirable:
£72,000 to £80,000 pa + up to 30% Bonus opportunity + Excellent benefits package.
