Job summary

The Green Recruitment Company is seeking a Project Development Manager to lead C&I renewable energy projects from site identification through to construction readiness and delivery.

Based in the UK, you will manage competitive proposals, engage with corporate customers and landlords, and coordinate due diligence, planning, grid connection and economics. A strong track record in solar PV/BESS and cross-functional leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience developing UK C&I renewable energy or infrastructure projects.
• Strong experience in commercial/industrial solar PV and/or BESS.
• Understanding of UK planning, grid connection and property processes.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to assess project viability.
• Experience working directly with corporate customers or commercial property stakeholders is highly desirable.
• Strong project management, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects from origination through to delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of C&I solar PV, BESS and hybrid energy projects.
• Identify and assess suitable commercial and industrial sites.
• Manage relationships with corporate customers, landlords, developers, property owners and other stakeholders.
• Lead site due diligence, feasibility studies, planning, grid connection and technical assessments.
• Develop project layouts, capacity assessments and initial project economics.
• Support customer proposals, commercial structuring, PPAs and energy-as-a-service solutions.
• Manage external consultants and contractors through the development process.
• Coordinate legal, planning, technical and commercial workstreams.
• Identify and manage project risks, budgets and development programmes.
• Support investment approvals, financing, procurement and transition into construction.

Role Overview

We are a UK-based Independent Power Producer (IPP) developing commercial & industrial (C&I) renewable energy projects, including rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV, BESS and integrated energy solutions.

We are seeking a Project Development Manager to lead projects from initial site identification and customer engagement through to construction readiness and delivery.
