At AES, we are accelerating the energy transition by developing, owning, and operating energy infrastructure that delivers clean, reliable, and economical energy. Reporting to the Senior Development Manager, you will coordinate all aspects of project development, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, scope, and regulatory requirements. You will stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to renewable energy project development. Success in this role will significantly contribute to the energy transition journeys of both existing and new customers.

Why join Aggreko? Here are some perks and rewards:

  • Focus on personal development
  • Access to 24/7 online/telephone GP service
  • Discounts & perks: Cycle to Work scheme, paid time off for volunteering
  • Access to Employee Assistance Programme supporting a healthy lifestyle

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the delivery of the Energy Services development pipeline; coordinating project development, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, budgets, and regulations. Assisting with M&A activities through due diligence of development aspects.
  • Liaising with stakeholders, including government agencies, landowners, contractors, and community groups, to foster relationships and address concerns.
  • Preparing and managing project budgets, monitoring expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Developing risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ensuring procurement and construction activities adhere to strategies, supporting contract negotiations.
  • Coordinating activities across departments like engineering, construction, and legal to ensure successful project execution.
  • Providing progress reports, documentation, and presentations to stakeholders.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Extensive experience in development/project roles within power generation or renewable energy sectors, with knowledge of energy project components.
  • Proven ability to lead projects effectively.
  • A solid background in managing budgets, resources, and projects efficiently.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • A strong network of energy professionals to leverage for project success.
