Job summary

Forward Assist Recruitment is seeking a Project Design Engineer for a globally recognised engineering and welding solutions provider. You will support upcoming and live projects by designing equipment in 3D CAD and producing technical documentation.

Responsibilities include creating and updating designs in SolidWorks or AutoCAD, preparing reports and manuals, and collaborating with project teams to ensure on-time delivery of compliant specifications.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent (HNC/HND) with 2:2 or above.
• Proven ability to work with 3D CAD systems (SolidWorks preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design of new equipment using SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation including reports and manuals.
• Ensure all project specifications and engineering standards are met.
• Modify and update existing designs to accommodate project changes and requirements.
• Prepare spares lists and ensure documentation is accurate and delivered on time.
• Support project teams with equipment information and specifications.
