Job Title: Project Design Engineer

Location: Burton-upon-Trent

Salary: £30-35k

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm

Kirkland Associates are seeking a Project Design Engineer to join their client's engineering team, a Tier 1 supplier in the automotive industry. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects from initial customer enquiry through to site installation. The successful candidate will have a flexible approach and a genuine enthusiasm to collaborate across departments.

Responsibilities

1. Produce designs for customers using SolidWorks
2. Conduct site surveys
3. Create parts lists and Bills of Materials (BOM)
4. Collaborate closely with the workshop during fabrication

Candidate Requirements

1. Proficient in SolidWorks or similar CAD software
2. Confident in engaging with customers via phone and on-site
3. Willing to work abroad when necessary
4. Enthusiastic about assisting colleagues and working as part of a team
