Are you a mechanical engineer who enjoys solving problems, working on a variety of projects, and supporting site teams with technical know-how?

Your background as a Project Design Engineer
Experience with 2D and 3D CAD software (Inventor & AutoCAD preferred training can be given)
Comfortable working in a support role helping with projects, factory builds, and layout drawings
Familiar with steelwork, mechanical or hydraulic equipment
Good Excel skills used to doing basic calculations and analysing data
Keen to learn, improve, and get stuck in across different areas
Strong communication skills and able to work independently
GCSEs in English & Maths essential; further technical qualifications are a bonus

Project Design Engineer responsibilities:
Use CAD software to produce site layouts and simple bespoke steelwork designs
Help the projects team by turning ideas into clear technical drawings and documents
Support factory builds and installations.
Organise and update technical files, documents, and drawings
Assist with compliance documents like risk assessments, method statements, and SOPs
Work with data in Excel to support decision-making and problem-solving
Share knowledge through training materials, toolbox talks, and team support
