Job Opportunity: Mechanical Design Engineer (Interim)

We are recruiting for a well-established UK leader in the design, installation, and commissioning of bespoke complex machinery for the pharmaceutical industry. Due to ongoing projects, we are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer on an interim basis. The initial commitment is 3 months, with a high likelihood of extension based on project scope.

Key Responsibilities:

• 3D design and detailing using Solidworks to customer specifications
• Develop new designs and improve existing products
• Liaise with production and internal technical departments
• Develop documentation and update project tools
• Maintain customer contact throughout project delivery

Candidate Attributes:

• Extensive experience in designing bespoke equipment within the pharmaceutical industry
• Proficient in Solidworks and PDM
• Experience managing project design through the full lifecycle
• Strong communication skills with clients and team members
