Project Delivery Manager(Water) Location: Within the East Anglia area to include: Lincoln, Peterborough, Huntingdon, Northampton, Milton Keynes, Norfolk and Colchester Contract: Permanent/Full time Salary: circa £55,373 + Car Allowance*

What will you be doing as our new Project Delivery Manager (Water)?

We have a number of Project Delivery Manager roles available within the IOS water framework.


The Project Delivery Managers will work closely with the Project Delivery Team managing the lifecycle of a project and with the Framework Partners to provide industry leading design standards. You will work collaboratively across all Operational Client Teams and our contract partners to establish smooth and efficient workflow processes, sharing a clear and joint vision whilst maintaining overall accountability for the entire project.

The successful post holders will support through construction activities, ensuring compliance with Construction (Design & Management) Regs 2015 and Water Quality practices (POSWSH). This role will be responsible for ensuring that all new assets are installed and commissioned to Anglian Water’s minimum asset standards, and for the effective handover of commissioned assets to our operational colleagues.

The Project Delivery Manager (Water) is responsible for managing project expenses ensuring costs are controlled within budget by verification of contract partner service item claims and third-party invoices. You will carry out a full reconciliation of costs at project completion stage comparing planned verses actual costs to provide accurate evidence of costs for final invoice and to provide and support any change of scope.

What does it take to be a Project Delivery Manager (Water)?

Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent (preferably in a relevant subject such as Engineering) and demonstrate significant Project Management and commercial awareness. Experience of identifying, developing and managing new business opportunities. Alongside this ideally you will have experience in:

  • Sound Understanding of Construction Design Management

  • Ability to build excellent customer relationships and possess strong negotiating and influencing skills.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt and change, and to think strategically and analytically.

  • Utility knowledge desirable

  • Knowledge of water fittings and materials or similar

  • Attention to detail coupled with excellent time management and strong IT skills are key ideally looking for experience in all Microsoft Office packages

  • A water/water recycling /engineering background would be an advantage.
