We are currently seeking an experienced Project Delivery Manager to join a major energy operator in Aberdeen on a long-term contract basis. This position offers the chance to play a central role in high-profile decommissioning projects within a supportive and strategically driven team.

Working within the Major Projects team, you’ll drive project execution to meet safety, efficiency, and cost goals, while also managing interfaces across internal departments, contractors, and regulatory bodies.

The Project Delivery Manager is pivotal to the success of large-scale offshore decommissioning projects, leading the development and implementation of contracting strategies for key scopes including:

• Topside engineering down and cleaning.
• Heavy lift vessel (HLV) prep and removals.
• Platform and subsea Plug & Abandonment (P&A).
• Subsea infrastructure removal.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Leading the creation and delivery of contracting strategies, ensuring regulatory compliance and alignment with industry best practices.
• Engaging with the supply chain to foster innovation and cost efficiency.
• Managing interfaces between engineering, operations, and external contractors.
• Monitoring contractor performance across safety, quality, and budget metrics.
• Collaborating closely with project and HSE teams to manage risks and meet milestones.
• Fostering strong working relationships with JV partners, stakeholders, and regulators.

Applicants to this role require

• Proven experience delivering large decommissioning or construction projects in the offshore oil and gas sector.
• Strong project and contract management expertise, ideally from an EPC background.
• In-depth understanding of UKCS decommissioning frameworks and best practices.
