The Project Delivery Manager is a key role in the business, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the delivery process from project sale through to client handover. You will play a vital part in delivering innovative, high-quality play spaces that meet and exceed client expectations, while staying within budget and on schedule. A focus on efficiency and maintaining high standards is essential.

As Project Delivery Manager, you’ll build direct relationships with clients and collaborate closely with all Earth Wrights teams, including design, sales, prefabrication, H&S, and installation.

Industry experience, particularly in landscaping or play build, is highly valued. This is a hands-on role, and practical skills in landscaping, carpentry, or construction are essential, as is the ability to read plans, problem-solve, and work outdoors. You will be a detail-oriented team player, ready to ‘muck in’ and assist with tasks as needed. Regular travel and overnight stays are part of the role.

Recognising that this is a new position, the responsibilities listed below are initial and may be further defined during a 6-month trial period.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Relations

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients from project handover (from sales manager) through to installation completion
  • Manage client expectations, provide regular updates, and address concerns promptly
  • Collaborate with clients to ensure satisfaction with final deliverables

Budget Management

  • Help establish and manage project budgets, ensuring alignment with client agreements and company objectives
  • Monitor project spend, provide regular updates, and identify any over/under spend
  • Negotiate supplier contracts and procure resources, ensuring cost-efficiency without compromising quality

Project Planning

  • Develop project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, logistics, and milestones, tailored to each playbuild project
  • Work with design, prefab, and site teams to translate plans into actionable steps
  • Ensure all licenses, permits, and compliance requirements are met

Project Delivery

  • Oversee day-to-day project activity, ensuring all tasks are completed to plan and quality standards
  • Act as central coordinator across delivery teams, including subcontractors and suppliers
  • Conduct site visits to assess progress and sign off on installation quality

Reporting

  • Prepare and deliver project status reports to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Track key performance metrics and project milestones
  • Document lessons learned and contribute to best practices for future projects

REQUIREMENTS

  • Significant experience in the playbuild, landscaping or construction industry —essential
  • Hands-on practical skills in landscaping, carpentry, or site-based construction—desirable
  • Good leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills—essential
  • Proficiency with project management tools and software—desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach—essential
  • A proactive, can-do attitude and a natural ability to organise and coordinate teams—essential
  • Construction-related qualifications (e.g., SSSTS, SMSTS, Chainsaw, Telehandler, 360 Excavator)—desirable but not essential
  • Full clean driving licence; extensive travel and overnight stays— required

Formal project management qualifications are not required.

Practical experience and industry knowledge are valued above formal certifications. Training and development opportunities will be provided for the right candidate.
