An educational organization in Canterbury is seeking a Project Coordinator for Outreach Services. This part-time, fixed-term role is focused on developing and implementing a strategic project plan. Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for education and change management? Do you thrive in collaborative environments and have a knack for turning plans into action? We are looking for a project coordinatorto help shape the future of Outreach Services.

THE ROLE/ TE MAHI

As Project Coordinator, you will play a key role in operationalising a strategic project plan focused on infrastructure and workforce design within Outreach Services. You will work closely with the Head of Outreach to ensure the plan is well-documented, communicated and executed with precision - meeting legislative obligations and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. This is a 0.5FTE (negotiable) fixed-term role (until 18 December 2025) based in Sumner.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Co-develop and implement a comprehensive project plan for Outreach infrastructure and workforce design.
  • Apply change and project management methodologies to guide the rollout.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and collective agreements.
  • Maintain clear communication and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify and mitigate risks to ensure smooth operations and service continuity.

YOU WILL HAVE / KA MAHI KOE

  • A Level 7 qualification (or higher) in Education
  • New Zealand registered teacher
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • NZSL proficiency (or a commitment to learn)
