Home Project Coordinator for ‘Screen Stories : Getting Disabled Writers in the Room 2025’

Screen Stories: Getting Disabled Writers in the Room is a script-mentoring initiative presented by the National Talent Academy for Film & TV in partnership with Tilting the Lens, aimed at supporting Disabled writers in developing their screenwriting skills and creative work in a supportive, inclusive environment.

This freelance role involves coordinating participant communications, scheduling sessions, supporting the delivery team, and ensuring access requirements are met. You will work closely with and report to Eibh Collins (National Talent Academy Film & TV) and Conny Nielsen (Tilting the Lens).

  • Freelance contract: One day per week (Wednesdays), w/c 23 June to December 2025
  • Programme sessions will be hosted online on Wednesday afternoons, so availability on Wednesdays is essential.
Role responsibilities
  • Coordinate the weekly operational needs of the programme
  • Liaise with participants, mentors, and speakers to manage scheduling and logistics
  • Maintain timely and clear communication with participants, ensuring access requirements are understood and facilitated
  • Track deliverables, budgets, updates, and feedback
  • Support planning and execution of the final in-person event in Dublin (November 2025)
  • Collaborate with both NTA Film & TV and Tilting the Lens to ensure inclusive, accessible programme delivery
Person specifications
  • Proven experience in project or programme coordination, especially in arts, education, or community projects
  • Experience working with or supporting Disabled people, and confidence in coordinating access accommodations (with the support of NTA & Tilting the Lens)
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Comfortable working independently and remotely
  • Tech-literate, with the ability to coordinate remote meetings and manage shared documents
  • Familiarity with the Irish screen sector, creative industries, Disabled filmmakers
  • Personal or professional understanding of disability inclusion
