We specialize in heavy civil and excavation services, providing top-quality site preparation, grading, trenching, and utility installation for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Our team is growing, and we're looking for a driven, detail-orientedProject Coordinator / Junior Project Managerto support our field operations and help keep projects on track from the ground up.

Position Overview:
This role is ideal for someone with a solid understanding of construction workflows—especially excavation—and a desire to grow into a leadership role. You will assist in planning, organizing, and overseeing various excavation projects, working alongside senior project managers, estimators, and field supervisors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and track day-to-day excavation activities and progress on active job sites
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules, budgets, and resource plans
  • Support permitting, utility locates, inspections, and compliance documentation
  • Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal crews
  • Prepare job documentation including RFIs, change orders, purchase orders, and site reports
  • Monitor site safety, erosion control, and environmental requirements
  • Help manage material and equipment logistics for excavation and utility work
  • Support estimating and bidding processes as needed

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in excavation, site work, or heavy civil construction
  • Knowledge of excavation practices, soil conditions, and underground utilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with software like Bluebeam or AutoCAD is an asset
  • Strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to visit active job sites regularly
