About the Team & the Position

Cyber education, training, and awareness is a key function within the Cyber Security department to ensure proactive engagement with business projects to ensure these projects deliver “secure by design” solutions and reduce the risk of projects not delivering required cyber security maturity to meet business and regulatory obligations. As the Senior Cyber Engagement Analyst, you will be the front door for the projects across the organisation to enable the Cyber Security department to effectively:

  • Manage the cyber resourcing demand from the projects
  • Prioritise projects based on criticality and cyber resources availability
  • Ensure projects have considered necessary cyber security requirements

Position Responsibilities

Effectively manage cyber resourcing demand and cyber delivery for the wider projects by:

  • Defining, documenting, and executing sub-projects for the cyber-related activities. Monitor the pipeline of projects to ensure adherence to cyber governance processes.
  • Agreeing on project approach with stakeholders and preparing realistic project plans. Track activities against the project schedule, managing stakeholder involvement when appropriate.
  • Implementing demand management analysis and planning activities. Maintaining a register of business requests and routing requests to the right place. Report on the status of each request.
  • Reviewing new business proposals and providing advice on demand issues. Work with business representatives to agree and implement short-term and medium-term modifications to demand.
  • Managing capacity modelling and forecasting activities. Work with business representatives to agree and implement short- and medium-term modifications to capacity.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills. Collect and use feedback from customers and stakeholders to help measure the effectiveness of stakeholder management.
  • Helping develop and enhance customer and stakeholder relationships. Resolve conflicts arising from stakeholders’ involvement in cyber governance processes.

Position Requirements

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong experience in procurement, program, and project management skills; financial / budget management, scheduling, and resource management.
  • Good experience in energy critical infrastructure and cyber security (preferred).
  • Knowledge of security control and maturity frameworks relevant to the energy sector.
  • Preferred - Knowledge of jurisdictional structures and arrangements with respect to management of energy and cyber security.
  • Ability to travel interstate and work flexible hours. Ability to obtain and maintain a national security clearance.

Must be an Australian citizen with the ability to attain and maintain an appropriate level of national security clearance.

Education / Professional Certifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in computer science, technology-related, energy field, or equivalent experience.
