Xpertis Talent is seeking a Project Services Coordinator to join their team in Newport. You will work with estimating, sales, manufacturing and technical design to support projects from enquiry to completion.

A technical background, strong communication and solid planning are essential for success. You will coordinate documentation, assist with drawings and specifications, support procurement and monitor progress to hit milestones, while developing proficiency in design software and project

Qualifications

  • Experience in a technical or construction setting is essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication across teams.
  • Strong planning, scheduling and deadline management skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities under pressure.
  • Self‑motivated, proactive and detail oriented.
  • Confident communicating with personnel at all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparation of estimates, quotations and project cost calculations.
  • Support creation and management of engineering documentation.
  • Assist with interpretation of drawings and technical specifications.
  • Support purchasing and ordering activities with suppliers/subcontractors.
  • Coordinate project information between customers, suppliers and internal teams.
  • Monitor project progress to meet milestones and deadlines.
  • Assist with manufacturing and production planning activities.
  • Support quality, compliance and documentation requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement across engineering and project processes.
  • Collaborate with estimating, sales, manufacturing and design teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop knowledge and proficiency in technical design software and PM tools.

Job description

My client is looking for a Project Services Coordinator to join their team in Newport on a permanent, full-time basis. Working within the Project Services team, the successful candidate will work alongside the estimating, sales, manufacturing and technical design teams to support the delivery of projects from initial enquiry through to completion.

The Project Services Coordinator will ideally have the following attributes:
  • Previous experience working within a technical role, ideally within a technical or construction environment
  • Excellent communication and written skills
  • Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to work to targets and deadlines
  • Able to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities
  • Self-motivated, organised and proactive
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communicating with personnel at all levels
  • Strong drive to succeed and develop within the role
  • Understanding of AutoCAD and SolidWorks would be advantageous
  • Product or industry knowledge would be beneficial
  • Willingness to develop proficiency in technical design software and project management tools
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
The Project Services Coordinator role will involve:
  • Assisting with the preparation of estimates, quotations and project cost calculations

  • Supporting quality, compliance and documentation requirements
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and project processes
  • Working closely with estimating, sales, manufacturing and technical design teams throughout the project lifecycle
  • Developing knowledge and proficiency in technical design software and project management tools

The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.
