Job description

Role

My client is a trusted leader in fire protection, prevention, and maintenance services. Dedicated to safety and quality, serving both commercial and residential clients across the UK.

As a Project Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting and managing the logistics and workflow of multiple projects, ensuring they are completed on time and meet the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Act as a point of escalation for project and resident issues, supporting team administrators in managing concerns professionally. Escalate complex matters to senior team members when necessary to ensure timely resolution.
  2. Maintain effective communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure all project-related and compliance documentation is accurately completed and submitted on time.
  3. Keep internal systems up to date with job progress and status. Prepare project updates and reports for Project Managers and review peers’ documentation for quality assurance.
  4. Plan and coordinate engineers’ schedules, ensuring efficient resource allocation and material availability. Proactively resolve access or scheduling issues in collaboration with residents and clients.
  5. Provide prompt and professional responses to engineers’ queries, offering basic technical support to help ensure jobs meet internal and industry standards.
  6. Assist in managing Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) and remedial projects, ensuring delivery within the agreed timeframe and quality expectations.
  7. Collaborate with various teams to support smooth project delivery.
  8. Contribute to the improvement of administrative processes and systems.
  9. Uphold the businesses core values and promote a culture of accountability, professional growth, and continuous improvement.

Person Specification

  1. Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
  2. Capable of working independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
  3. Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
  4. Able to manage workload and prioritise tasks efficiently.

Essential Requirements

  1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  2. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Project Coordinator role, ideally within the passive fire protection or FRA sector.

Desirable

  1. Based locally or within a commutable distance.
  2. Familiarity with the fire protection and prevention industry.
