Job description

We are partnered with a global leader in the energy sector, looking to expand their team in Bury, Greater Manchester. They're on the lookout for a Project Coordinator who can hit the ground running and support key engineering projects from an operational and delivery perspective.


This role requires a combination of organisational skills, technical understanding, and experience within an engineering, M&E building services or facilities management setting.


The main focus is on supporting the smooth execution of projects, from inception through to completion, ensuring that everything runs efficiently and within scope.


The ideal candidate will:

  1. Provide comprehensive administrative support to the project team throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring smooth operations.
  2. Coordinate project schedules, meetings, and deadlines, ensuring all team members are aligned.
  3. Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, timelines, and project plans.
  4. Liaise with internal stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met.
  5. Assist in the tracking and management of project costs, ensuring budget adherence.
  6. Support the team in organising project meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes.
  7. Maintain accurate records of project-related correspondence, ensuring all information is accessible and up to date.
  8. Facilitate the resolution of any issues or challenges that arise during the project delivery.
  9. Monitor project progress and provide updates to senior management as required.
  10. Assist with compliance and quality assurance activities within the project, ensuring all relevant standards and regulations are met.

Skills Required:

  1. Previous administrative experience within a technical or engineering project delivery environment (FM, M&E, or similar engineering sectors).
  2. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  3. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
  4. Experience in supporting project teams with scheduling, reporting, and cost management.
  5. Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  6. Familiarity with project delivery processes and administrative best practices in a technical setting.
