Job summary

Murphy is recruiting a Project Coordinator to support finance and project processes across energy transmission projects. You will work with site managers on timesheets, requisitions, and reporting, while ensuring accurate accounting and project controls.

Travel to Banniskirk or Inverness is required, with potential to travel as needed. The role emphasizes collaboration with SHQE and project teams, using MS Office, PowerBI, and internal systems to promote financial accuracy and continuous

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in a transaction process role (AP, purchase ledger, procurement, finance).
  • Experience in construction industry or similar may be beneficial.
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office and business systems.

Murphy is recruiting for a Project Coordinatorto work with Energy in Banniskirk or Inverness with the ability to travel.

What you will be doing:
  • Take accountability for executing key finance and project processes (raising requisitions, GRN orders, reporting status) associated with ordering materials, resources and plant
  • Work alongside Site managers with key weekly paid and agency labour processes (e.g. timesheet collection, coding, collecting overtime requests)
  • Use the chosen accounting system for processing project transactions and running reports
  • Run weekly management order reports, review and attend meetings with the Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor where required
  • Establish and promote best practice in health, safety and environmental matters in conjunction with the SHQE department.
  • A sound understanding and practical experience of working with multiple software packages and systems, including O365, PowerBI, and internal systems
  • Maintain diaries and take appointments for team members, including virtual and in-person meetings for the senior team both internally and externally.
  • Highlight and upscale to the Project Manager on interventions required on Site where there is lack of process compliance by site personnel that would risk financial accuracy of the project numbers
  • Promote a culture of Continuous Improvement and of sharing best practice amongst the team
What we are looking for:
  • Relevant experience in a transaction process role (AP, purchase ledger, procurement, finance) and/or broad business administration position
  • Experience working in the construction industry or similar may be beneficial

Ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.

  • High levels of emotional intelligence
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, and a general competence with systems
