Our PMO Yorkshire Northeast team seeks to expand its Controls community. We are a close-knit team looking to welcome passionate and ambitious candidates at all professional, senior professional, and managerial levels. Candidates will support early careers, grow into leadership roles, and bring their skills to our communities of practice, embodying our values, especially "Bringing out the best in Everyone."

With regional growth including new Major Programmes, Projects, and Clients, we seek flexible, mobile Planning and Scheduling / Performance Reporting / Risk Management candidates to deliver services locally. Travel within Yorkshire and the Northeast may be required, depending on the project, and can be discussed during recruitment. In return, you gain access to diverse sectors such as Power, Water, Rail, Mass Transit, Local Authority, and Shipyards, with opportunities to apply your expertise to bespoke solutions, and to develop professionally with support from our line managers.

You will work within our Project Controls team on high-profile infrastructure projects, providing performance reporting and analysis. This may involve working as part of a large team or as the primary contact with the client.

Typical activities include developing work breakdown structures, establishing progress and cost monitoring methods, producing control reports, and providing performance analysis and recommendations.

Previous experience in a project controls environment within sectors like Energy, Defence, Rail, Airports, Highways, Water/Utilities is required. Experience in Programme Controls Management, Earned Value (EVM), Change & Risk Management, Planning, or PMO is also necessary.

Qualifications

  • A qualified graduate in a relevant discipline with experience in project control.
  • Experience in managing delivery or controls within a project or programme environment.
  • Proficiency with Primavera (P6), Power BI, Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Strong time management, quick thinking, and deadline adherence.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of planning principles and schedule construction.
  • Experience with schedule quality assurance tools like Primavera Schedlog, Acumen Fuse, or DCMA 14 Point Checklist.
  • Effective schedule monitoring, baseline management, progress data collection, performance measurement, and variance reporting.
  • Ability to evaluate project status and promote a positive schedule management culture.
