An established industry player is seeking a Project Controls/Planning Manager for a 5-month contract based in Dover. This role involves overseeing the re-ordering of outbound controls projects, preparing detailed construction programmes, and collaborating closely with the site team and supply chain. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, particularly in civils and MEP, and be an expert in using P6 for cost loading. Job description

Project Controls/ Planning Manager
Location: Eastern Docks, Dover. Flexibility around working from home.
Working Hours: 9 hrs per day (Mon - Fri) Start Time 8am
Contract Length: 5 months
Pay Rate: £400 - £550 per day

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Re-Ordering of Outbound Controls Project at Port of Dover; Monthly monitoring and updating of current ECI programme, submission to client for acceptance complete with programme narrative, SPI/CPI etc.
  2. Preparation of programme for the construction phase of the project, including cost loading; along with phasing drawings/presentation to aid understanding of the client (Port of Dover). All in liaison with site team and supply chain.
  3. During Construction Phase, update the construction programme with progress, in conjunction with supply chain. Submit for acceptance with programme narrative, SPI/CPI.
  4. Review supply chain programmes; accept/reject/incorporate into main project programme.

Key Skills:

  1. Construction experience, including civils/MEP/building.
  2. Expert in P6, including cost loading.
  3. Able to prepare reports, programme narratives and present to client at meetings.
