Job Description:

Job title: Project Controls Officer

Location: Isle of Grain – (Rochester) – Onsite

Duration: 12 months

Our client, an energy infrastructure company, is seeking a Project Controls Officer for a 12-month contract based in Rochester, within the Oil & Gas, Energy, and Construction industries, inside IR35.

Role:

As a Project Controls Officer, you will work with the wider Project Controls team to ensure departmental deliverables are prepared on time and communicated clearly, e.g., Project Management Plan.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and maintaining SharePoint and Power BI dashboards, change control, and risk management.
  • Developing and delivering core functions within the Engineering & Construction department.
  • Governance reporting, including compiling key datasets, performance indicators, and metrics.
  • Planning and schedule development within a multi-project environment, analyzing and reporting key metrics from integrated programmes (Primavera and MS Project).

Candidate requirements:

  • Degree in a STEM subject preferred.
  • Experience in Project Controls functions within construction or utilities sectors.
  • Experience with UK Gas, LNG projects, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, LNG Production, Storage, Vaporisation, Shipping, Cryogenic Pipelines, or Gas Compression, especially at top-tier COMAH sites.
  • Good understanding of project controls functions such as cost, change, risk, and planning.
