Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Controls Manager to join our busy and expanding Infrastructure business, supporting a major London-based airport in delivering a range of high-value projects.

This role is ideal for a Project Controls Manager with experience in aviation or airports, particularly within a major international airport environment, given the complex nature of the projects involved.

Job Objectives

• Lead the programme controls function for a programme, ensuring accuracy and consistency of plans, costs, safety, environment, and performance reporting.
• Deploy available controls team resources effectively.

Other Responsibilities

1. Review new project proposals and develop realistic resource plans for delivery.
2. Identify resourcing needs and liaise with planning teams to resolve issues.
3. Provide daily support to Programme and Project Managers on plans, costs, safety, environment, and performance.
4. Ensure data input standards are met in cost and performance systems.
5. Manage the production of the Investment Plan and comply with the Investment Competence Framework.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning, scheduling, and control functions, including schedule development and analysis.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Proficiency with PC operating systems and software applications, including Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and start-up processes.
• Understanding of engineering and construction management principles.
