Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Project Controls Manager to lead the controls function on major infrastructure and construction programmes in the UK. You will oversee cost, schedule, risk and change management, aligning planning, cost and risk to deliver successful outcomes.

You will mentor a multidisciplinary team, report to a Senior Project Controls Leader, and interact with clients and supply chain partners to drive governance, insights and continuous improvement in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Experience leading project controls on large-scale infrastructure or construction programmes.
• Strong knowledge of cost, schedule, risk and change management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional qualifications such as APM or PMI are desirable.
• Familiarity with NEC contracts and UK construction standards.
• Strategic thinker with analytical skills.

• As a Project Controls Manager, you will manage a project controls function on major infrastructure or construction programmes
• Reporting to a Senior Project Controls Manager or Preoject Controls Lead, you’ll be responsible for integrating cost, schedule, risk, change, and reporting processes to ensure successful project delivery
• This role requires strategic oversight, technical expertise, and leadership across multidisciplinary teams
• Performance Management:
• Establish and manage the Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB)
• Implement and maintain Earned Value Management (EVM) systems
• Collate and report KPIs related to time, cost, risk, change, and quality
• Governance & Reporting:
• Lead periodic and ad-hoc reporting cycles
• Ensure accuracy and robustness of monthly project review packs
• Provide interpretation of project health data to support decision-making
• Change & Risk Management:
• Develop and implement change control processes
• Facilitate change forums and expedite decisions as needed
• Integrate risk assessments into project controls
• Team Leadership:
• Assist in managing and mentoring a team of project controls professionals
• Set objectives, conduct appraisals, and provide feedback
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture
• Stakeholder Engagement:
• Liaise with senior leadership, clients, and supply chain partners
