Job title: Project Controls Manager

Contract type: Permanent

Business Line context: Egis offers global opportunities in construction engineering and mobility, focusing on innovation in transport, sustainable cities, water, environment, and energy sectors. Egis operates in 75 countries with over 19,000 employees. The Egis Transport Solutions (ETS) unit specializes in guided urban transport and heavy rail systems, providing comprehensive consultancy services from project feasibility to delivery.

Due to a growing project pipeline, Egis seeks an experienced Project Controls Manager based in London, preferably with a background in UK Rail and Infrastructure projects. The role involves managing project risks and constraints to support client decision-making.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Leading project delivery ensuring safety, timeliness, and budget adherence.
  • Optimizing processes for timely and accurate information dissemination.
  • Engaging with stakeholders through reporting and direct liaison.
  • Possessing technical expertise in planning, reporting, risk, or information management.
  • Managing and integrating various project controls systems and professionals.
  • Recruiting, mentoring, and managing project controls staff.
  • Supporting business development and bid processes.
  • Ensuring safety, quality, and financial management standards.

Candidate profile:

Essential skills and experience:

  • Extensive experience in infrastructure project delivery.
  • Proven experience in project controls (planning, risk, reporting, or information management).
  • Successful record in delivering major projects within a consultancy environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and client management skills.
  • Financial acumen and project budgeting experience.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Desirable qualifications:

  • Degree in Project Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Chartered status or membership in a professional body.
  • Knowledge of the rail sector.
