Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Project Controls professional to support integrated programme controls across major infrastructure schemes in the UK. The role involves coordinating schedule, cost, risk, change, and reporting, while delivering consistent PMO outputs for programmes and stakeholders.

You will assist with change and trend management, risk activities, and produce timely performance reports. Hybrid Midlands-based role with travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

Job Description Overview

As a Project Controls Engineer/Senior Project Controls Engineer, you will add value to project/programme teams on niche and high-profile schemes across the infrastructure sector for our reputable clients. You will be tasked with fulfilling a range of responsibilities, tailored to the specific needs of the project or program you are contributing to. Some of those purposes are listed below.

Your role

• Support integrated programme controls processes, ensuring alignment across schedule, cost, risk, change, and reporting.
• Contribute to PMO service delivery, providing consistent, high‑quality controls outputs to programmes and stakeholders.
• Support change and trend management, including identification, impact assessment, governance, and reporting.
• Support risk management activities, including risk identification, qualitative and quantitative assessment, mitigation, and reporting.
• Develop and produce clear, accurate, and timely programme performance reports for project, programme, and executive audiences.
• Monitor programme performance, identifying trends, issues, and risks that may impact delivery objectives.
• Interface with programme partners and supply chain organisations to gather, validate, and integrate controls‑related information.
• Work collaboratively with delivery teams, planners, commercial teams, and programme leadership to ensure controls data reflects delivery reality.
• Support governance, assurance activities, and continuous improvement of PMO controls practices.

About you

Experience working within programme or project controls environments on major or mega infrastructure programmes.

We are recruiting for Project Controls professionals at multiple seniority levels. The final level will be determined based on your skills, experience, and performance during the selection process. Midlands‑based roles, with the ability to travel to client sites a minimum of three days per week. Flexibility to support a portfolio of major and mega programmes as priorities evolve and PMO services scale.
